Network Operations continuously monitors and records the amount of network traffic on all connections to every networked building as well as the Internet and other off-campus connections. We also record trends from central servers including email volumes and hits to the campus web server. This information is used internally by NOC staff to ensure that all connections are operating within acceptable limits and determine where upgrades are needed.
