Bowdoin's digital telephone system serves thousands of telephones, faxes, and modems. The voicemail network processes thousands of calls per day and provides basic message storage capability for students, faculty, and staff.

Faculty and staff who are having trouble with their telephones, need new service, or a change in their current service can call the IT Help Desk at 725-3030 to put in a work order. Students who are having difficulties with their telephone can call the Student Help Desk at 721-5050.

Callers may also use the Lyrix PeopleFind voice directory system to contact faculty, staff, students, or a particular department. Simply by dialing 4411 from on-campus and speaking the person's or department name, callers will then be transferred to their desired extension.
