Please Remember: If you have a roommate(s), you will be sharing phonemail with them. Select a password that everyone will easily remember.

  1. Pick up your handset, press the PHONEMAIL button on your phone
  2. Listen for the voice prompt, "Hello, this is the phonemail system. If you are calling from your own extension, press #...."
  3. Since you are calling from your own extension, PRESS #
  4. The system will prompt you for your password. YOUR FIRST TIME PASSWORD IS: 1 1 1
    Enter this number, then press #
  5. The system will next prompt you to enter a new password because this is a non-secure password. Your new password needs to be a minimum of six (6) digits long
  6. Since this is your first time logging in, the system will now prompt you to "Record your name."
    This is JUST YOUR NAME(S). All you do is SAY YOUR NAME(S). NOT the message of the "Hi we're not in right now..." (That is called your "Greeting", information to record your Greeting is listed below)
  7. Now you are at HOME STATE - the main menu of phonemail. Simply follow the recorded prompts to retrieve messages.

How To Record Your Personal Greeting

  1. Access your mailbox then press "8" for Answering Options
  2. Press "1" for Personal Greeting
  3. Press "1" again and record your greeting (the "Hi we're not in right now....)
  4. Press * then # when you complete the recording
