On-campus housing telephone lines are digital lines. This means that answering machines, portable phones, and other types of phone sets will not work in these rooms. Phonemail (a voice messaging service) is provided for each extension. If a student has a roommate(s), the phonemail box will be shared among them. If a student requires specific equipment (TTY/TDD), simply contact the Telecom Office at 725-3966 (or sstewar4@bowdoin.edu) and we would be glad to assist you. The Telecom Office provides repair and assistance to all campus-owned residence extensions
